OVERVIEW

MedCision (now Astero Bio) is an innovator in the development and commercialization of automated thawing devices for cell and gene therapies. One of their product lines, ThawSTAR series, is comprised of a family of automated thawing devices for frozen cell and gene therapies packaged in cryovials and cryobags.

Mighty Studios has been working with MedCision since 2010, developing products, product concepts and demonstration units since then. The AT50 is the latest product, which needed to convey the company’s commitment to functional simplicity wrapped in beautiful design. Leveraging elements from the product design language, we developed the AT50 to be both functional and beautiful on the lab benchtop.
